In addition to the regular health and education grants, SYL Foundation created an Emergent Needs Fund to help effective community organizations address the most immediate needs in serving marginalized communities in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. The current focus of the fund is to support critical operating shortfalls in community healthcare centers and legal defense for immigrants and refugees.
