2018 & 2019 Just and Humane Immigration Systems

Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation made a series of special grants totaling $57,000 to organizations working toward a more just and humane immigration and detention system. Grants were made to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights to provide assistance to children in the immigrant detention system, to Annunciation House El Paso and to Save the Children for their humanitarian assistance to immigrants at the southern border, to the Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center to assist their clients applying for naturalization, and to the WA Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) for their Fair Fight Bail Fund for individuals in the immigration detention system.
