In celebration of Living Buddha Lian Sheng’s 66th birthday, the Houston True Buddha Temple (through Roger Tseng) arranged an extraordinary gift of a Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation t-shirt and vest that had orbited Earth on space shuttle Discovery’s final mission. The gift was presented by SYLF President, Fo-Ching Lu, and Master Lian Hsiang. Celebratory events were held at Redmond’s Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple and in North Bend’s Rainbow Temple. Over 1,000 True Buddha School disciples attended along with special guests including Bellevue City Mayor Dr. Don Davidson, Deputy Mayor Conrad Lee, Director General Daniel Liao and Mrs. Liao, and AAT Television Executives, Steve Cho and Jenny Kung.
