Disaster Relief Aid to Japan

Disaster Relief Aid to Japan

With the help of our generous donors, SYL Foundation made a grant in the amount of $56,115 USD to Peace Winds America to support Japan’s relief and recovery efforts after the devastating earthquake and tsunami.  The funds were directed to Koyo Maritime High School located in Japan’s Kesennuma Prefecture and were used to rebuild the chemistry laboratory for high school students.  Photos of the school and chemistry lab with students showing their gratitude for SYL Foundation’s help are below.  To all our donors, please know that it is with your help that SYL Foundation can continue to aid disaster survivors and improve educational opportunities such as this.  Along with the students at Koyo High School and Peace Winds America, we are deeply grateful.
